Hotel Delite needed an entrance and lobby that would make a strong first impression within a compact 750 sq.ft. footprint. The design treats the journey from street to reception as one continuous sequence: a sculptural staircase, an illuminated arched entry and a wood-framed lobby that draws guests toward the reception desk.
A restrained palette of white walls, light oak flooring and warm wood finishes keeps the space bright and open, while brass lettering, brass bird sculptures and globe pendant lighting add a sense of occasion. Terrazzo-finish lift cladding and granite stair treads were chosen to stand up to the daily footfall of a working hotel.
The lobby also serves as the gateway to the hotel's restaurant cum bar. A waiting lounge and a stacked-stone signage wall beside the lift give guests a clear sense of direction while keeping the overall experience calm, cohesive and welcoming.
